Frequently Asked Questions and Spa Information

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. We will hold your reservation with a debit or credit card, there will be no charges until after your appointment(s). If you do not call a minimum of 24 hours before your appointment is scheduled for or fail to show up, we will charge 100% of your appointment(s) to your card.

If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we will cancel and charge 100% of your appointment(s) and offer you the opportunity to reschedule your appointment(s) once. The cancellation fee can be applied to the new appointment(s). If you fail to 
reschedule your canceled appointment(s) after two weeks, you will not be entitled to a refund of any kind.

Because we are a smaller business and are also affiliated with hotels and AirBnBs in the area, we tend to book up quickly and value our customers' time, as well as our Service Providers who make sure you receive your entire time slot. 

Can I book services for my group?

Absolutely! For groups of 3 or more, we have a non-refundable 50% deposit due upon booking. If you need to reschedule your appointments due to a conflict (24 hours before your original appointment,) the deposit can be applied to the new date.

Failure to reschedule or arrive to your 
appointment within a month of cancellation will result in relinquish of the original deposit amount.

Can my group bring our own alcohol?

Absolutely! If you and your group would like to bring your own alcoholic beverages or snacks (such as charcuterie boards, fruit, etc.) we would be more than happy to supply drink ware and utensils for the occasion!

Can I tip my Service Provider?

Absolutely! Our Service Providers work hard to ensure your service is exceptional and always appreciate any added gratuity. It is customary to tip 20% in the spa industry, however, we leave desire gratuity up to our clients' discretion.

Can I host my Bridal Party at your spa?

Thank you for considering us! Please email us at booking@milandayspa.com with a date for the party and a list of everyone's names, services, a phone number and a card number to hold your reservation. You can also call us at 912-236-4900 with the same information to hold your reservation. 

Please keep in mind: we can do at maximum 3 manicure/pedicures at the same times, 3 massages at the same time in separate rooms, and 2 facials at the same time. For larger parties, we suggest that part of your party receives their nail services, while the other receive massages/facials. Thank you for understanding!

Finally, we ask that you book at least one month in advance in order for all appointments to be schedule in the same time frame.

Do you offer nail tips or acrylics?

Unfortunately, we do not offer services for acrylics or nail tips. We specialize in gel nail polish and regular nail polish manicures and pedicures.

Do you have a steam room, mud room, lockers, or showers?

Milan Day Spa is a spa boutique, therefore, we do not offer the above. We will gladly hold onto any of your belongings at the front desk with our concierge.

Our Massage Providers use just enough essential oil that you will not feel oily and greasy.

Do you offer parking?

Because we are located on the middle of Broughton St. in Downtown Savannah, we unfortunately do not have reserved parking for our guests. We suggest that all of our clients give themselves ample time before their appointment(s) to look for parking, especially on the weekends. However, there are two parking garages near us- State St. and Congress St. Garage are only a two-minute walk from the spa and are easily accessible.

We highly recommend arriving downtown a couple hours before your appointment and enjoy all that Savannah has to offer before walking to us for your appointment(s)!

What is your gift card policy?

All gift cards purchased are set to expire a year after purchase date, we do not honor any gift cards brought in for use after the expiration date has passed.

Are you handicap accessible?

Unfortunately, due to the historical preservation of our building, we are not entirely handicap accessible. You will be required to walk up a flight of stars for any wax, massage, facial, or lash services. However, all of our nail and hair care services are performed on our ground floor.

What kinds of discounts does your spa offer?

Milan Day Spa offers discounts to students, first responders, military, Gulfstream Employees, and teachers! A valid ID upon checkout is required to apply for your discount.

I am pregnant, can I still get a massage?

Absolutely! We require that our prenatal massage clients be past their first trimester with a doctor's approval. Instead of lying face down, you will be positioned on your side with a pregnancy cushion for support. 

What should I do before a wax?

We ask that you do not shave or trim your hair, and this is be a minimum of 1/4 of an inch long. This is to ensure that the wax can be applied to the hair and not your skin. Our estheticians will trim and groom if need be. We suggest that you exfoliate afterwards with our sugar scrub to prevent any ingrown hair!

Can I still get a wax if I am on my menstrual cycle?

We suggest that you reschedule, just so that you are comfortable.
